- Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage the organization’s database system, ensuring high availability, performance and security.
- Develop database solutions and model that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, and monitoring.
- Optimize database performance through query turning, index optimization, and other techniques.
- Collaborate with software development team to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure scalability and efficiency of database systems.
- Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Query report to support business requirements.
- Document database designs, configurations and operational procedures.
- Perform database schema design, data modeling and normalization.
- Other tasks assigned by Leader.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer, or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems, such Oracle, MariaDB, or PostgresSQL.
- Proficiency in SQL query optimization and performance turning.
- Experience with database administrator tasks, such as backup and recovery, replication, and security management.
- Familiarity with database monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of database architecture and distributed database systems.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as SQL, Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skill
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead projects to successful completion.
